With the change of season and winter approaching, you need to take care of your skin even more and change up your routine to keep skin irritation at bay. Paying close attention to how your skin is reacting to the change in weather and temperature can combat dry, red and flaky skin issues. Even going from a warm room to the crisp outdoors can upset your skin, so I’ve put together a list of products that I’m loving and absolutely going to be relying on as the cooler months approach us, as well as a couple of new absolute favourites thrown in there.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72hr Auto Repair Hydrator, 50ml, RRP $75.00. This gel moisturiser is as good as the name sounds. This oil-free hydrator has new auto-replenishing technology with activated aloe water actually helps skin create its own internal water source to continually rehydrate itself, redelivering moisture for a whole 72 hours after application, even after washing your face. Bursting with hyaluronic acid (one of my favourite beauty ingredients of all time), it locks in all that moisture for an endlessly plump, dewy, healthy-looking glow.
ghd GOLD STYLER, RRP $320.00. This new ghd styler is a must-have if you regularly heat style your hair. The ghd gold features dual-zone technology that has two next generation heat sensors, one across each plate to control the optimum styling temperature of 185°C constantly and evenly from root to tip, which delivers healthier, smoother and sleeker looking hair. As well as being better for your hair, I have found this styler easier to use than my platinum styler as it is much lighter. It also heats up faster making it super pain-free to quickly glide through your hair in the cold winter mornings.
Eco Store Extra Moisturising Body Lotion, 220ml, RRP $14.95. This is one I come back to year after year, as it delivers ultimate hydration and nourishment even to the driest of skins. Made in New Zealand, 100% recyclable and really affordable, it’s really guilt free going through bottle after bottle of the magic stuff!
L’Oréal Paris Paradise Mascara, RRP $26.99. Not specific to autumn or winter but just something I have recently discovered and have been attached to ever since, the L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara is the perfect new accessory in your makeup wardrobe. After all the hype from international bloggers, I was so excited to try this. And the hype is real, my friends. This is like false lashes in a bottle, it delivers full volume and length in a dense black that doesn’t budge all day. I’ve been loving wearing this with simple everyday makeup to amp up the volume.
Lancôme Génifique Hydrogel Melting Mask, RRP $150.00 for pack of 4. This Lancôme mask is an absolute miracle worker that delivers results that are instantly visible on the skin. For 2018, Lancôme set itself a challenge, to come up with a single sheet mask containing the same amount of Bifidus extracts as a whole bottle of Advanced Génifique which is how the Hydrogel Melting Mask was born! Containing precious probiotic extracts, moments after application you can truly feel and see the results with visibly plumped-up skin, an absolute winner from me.
YSL Touché ´Eclat Cassandre, RRP $65.00. Although this is not a new one, it is new to me and it has beautiful limited edition packaging to go with it. The reason why I’m calling this an autumn must-have, is because of the power of light that this little beauty can deliver to your face. During the cooler months I can always do with a little brighten up, especially under the eyes and this delivers luminosity at the click of a pen. It’s great to pop in your handbag for touch-ups throughout the day as well.
COSMEDIX Restore Moisture-Rich Mask, 74g, RRP $99.00. Lastly I have included this ultra-moisturising mask that I know I won’t be far from my side all winter. The Restore Moisture-Rich Mask restores the skin with vital moisture, vitamins and essential fatty acids to help promote water retention and proper lipid balance – hello beautifully plump and youthful skin! As well as visually plumping the skin, the mask also gently exfoliates away dead skin cells, prevents transepidermal water loss and delivers real results of healthier-looking skin.
That’s all from me today lovelies – do try some of these products out and as always I’d love to know what you think of any of them! I hope you enjoyed xo
